How we keep your online card payments secure

At Payz, security of our customers is a top priority and your Payz account comes with a set of safety features to keep your funds protected. The online payments industry is also dedicated to ensure protection of consumers and has recently been implementing a series of changes to support that. As of 2021, the way of making online card payments is changing due to a EU regulation called PSD2.Here’s what you need to know about it.

What is PSD2, and why is it important?

The Revised Payments Services Directive (PSD2) is an EU regulation for payments services that is aimed to safeguard online card payments in Europe. It consists of certain safety measures that both payment institutions and businesses must comply with to keep your personal and financial data protected from fraud. One of the most recent safety measures in scope of the PSD2 regulation is mandatory two-factor authentication when making online card payments. And we’ve made it easy for our customers, by using our new mobile app.
